Identify gaps, optimize procedures, increase quality

sommer + spohr supports the standardization of test management

Maximum reliability and availability, coupled with a high and consistent quality of system functionality – these are core requirements that broadcasters and content providers want to be assured of in every case. This applies equally to new launches, centralization or major updates of systems, services or components.
In many companies, we observe that the necessary test management is project-specific and inconsistent. Valuable resources are wasted trying to solve the same tasks individually over and over again. The prerequisites for efficient regression tests are rarely in place and, as a rule, a small number of experts have to check the quality instead of a large number of testers. As a result, testing often becomes a critical bottleneck in a project and achieving the desired quality becomes a matter of luck. Insufficient productive stability and dissatisfied users are then the inevitable result.

In order to find out the status of test management in our own company, we have developed a best practice test management model that serves as a benchmark for reviewing the respective procedure.

Based on this assessment, the customer itself examines the current status of test management as a first step. This allows potential gaps in the procedure to be quickly identified via a special dashboard and optimization potential to be identified in the current overall process.

The results of the assessment can be the first step towards standardized test management. sommer + spohr is happy to support the change that will ultimately lead to central know-how being built up and used in all projects. At the end of the day, the measures taken will reduce costs, free up valuable personnel and ensure reliable operations.
