Radio connection to OpenMedia for cross-media planning and production

Following the introduction of OpenMedia as a central newsroom for current television in 2019, our client – a German media company – is now taking the next step towards cross-media news planning and production with the integration of radio waves into a comprehensive topic planning for all playout channels.

sommer + spohr have been supporting the project since September 2021 with consulting and project management services for the preparation and evaluation of the tender for the implementation of the necessary adaptations. In addition to OpenMedia and d’accord as the audio content management system, other existing systems of the customer must be integrated into the editorial and production workflow in the area of topicality.

Since January 2022, sommer + spohr have been supporting the general contractor with the detailed specification, implementation and quality testing of the new workflows as part of project monitoring until the go-live, which is planned for early 2023.
