SWR wanted to introduce a company-wide topic-centered planning system (approx. 5000 users) as SaaS. In an agile development process, a software for topic and event-oriented planning (THEO) was to be implemented. To this end, sommer + spohr provided support for over 2 years, from the requirements analysis to the preparation of documents in compliance with public procurement law and the development of a concept for the implementation of the project. The project is being realized by the system integrator Thum + Mahr and the manufacturer Wolftech, whose software “Wolftech News” forms the new planning tool for SWR.
In the first phase of the project, sommer + spohr took over the organization and implementation of workshops in order to formulate the requirements of SWR concretely and completely in user stories.
In the next phase, the user stories were transformed into functional and non-functional requirements as the basis for the tender. Furthermore, sommer + spohr provided support in the procurement, coordination and compilation of all necessary tender documents in order to publish the EU tender on time and within the deadline and to obtain bids that could be awarded.
In the further project phase, sommer + spohr took over the development of the detailed specification and the concept for implementing a process that allows the requirements to be documented transparently and sustainably.
In addition, the foundation was laid for a holistic test management system, which will continue to exist after the project and will be used for quality assurance of the “News” software used.
