Norddeutsche Rundfunk is renewing its NDR1 television studio in Hamburg-Lokstedt, which has been in operation since 2005. A partially automated and flexible production complex is being built, which will fit seamlessly into the existing production infrastructure and enable efficient work processes.
After the requirements had been captured and the tender documents for the broadcast systems created and published, sommer + spohr were also commissioned to take over the overall management of the project.
In addition to the renovation of television technology (contractor sonoVTS Media GmbH), the project also includes upgrading the studio, including lighting technology renovation, and developing and implementing the new set and on air designs for the Hamburg Journal, NDR Info and Weltbilder programs producing in NDR1.
Production is scheduled to start in October 2020.
