At the start of the project, a test management system was to be designed that would last for the duration of the project. The goal is to maintain the quality of the software at a high level throughout the entire operating period.
The task
sommer + spohr took over the sub-project management for the development of the test management concept. The overall concept is based on the agile software development process according to Scrum.
The idea
The basis of the test management was already the well thought-out and structured service specification. The structure from the service specifications could be used consistently both in the project backlog and later in the structure of the test suite.
The Software
TestLink” was used as the test management software, which in combination with the existing Jira ticket system forms the test system. Jira handles the defect management and reflects problems to the manufacturer.
The result
Through an individual test plan and build concept, the test cases can be executed depending on the current software release. The thematically sorted test cases enable targeted testing. Test cases can be assigned to specific groups, so that an overload of one person can be avoided. The BWR is able to make a statement about the quality standard of its software at any time.
